“Processed Views” by Barbara Ciurej and Lindsay Lochman

LOCKWOOD-01

The photographic duo of Barbara Ciurej and Lindsay Lochman collaborated and created miniature landscapes made of processed food which subsequently they photographed. The collection titled “Processed Views” includes images of mountains and valleys constructed of colored cereal, fries, small pieces of bacon and even toast bread.

The collection was inspired by a photograph by Charleton Watkins shot in 1863 that captured the endless possibilities of the West America’s lands. Moreover, the collection aims in demonstrating the alarming rate at which people is moving away from the natural food sources and heads into the dangerous territory of processed food which causes unexpected consequences for both environment and our health.
