“Sit Down” announce the Instituto Marangoni and Cappellini and they invite young designers from around the world to participate in an international design competition.
The designers will have the opportunity to express their creativity in product design, industrial design and interior design or architecture for graduates and design professionals with relevant experience in the field. As part of the competition, participants must propose a new and modern type of seat is determined by formal innovation, functionality and comfort and is able to combine the tradition of the East – based on the use of carpets and cushions – with west.
Until June 19, 2015 the designers will need to register and upload their works to “80 chance
to be the one” platform of Marangoni. All projects will be judged by a jury consisting of famous Italian and international designers and representatives of the Institute.
The winner will receive the coveted scholarship offered by Cappellini to attend Master in Italian design products from October 2015 at Istituto Marangoni School of Design in Milan. However, as part of the 80th anniversary, Marangoni will provide many scholarships to give to all international talents the opportunity to make their dreams come true.
