Australian architecture firm Modscape create a unique house, after the guidance of a couple from California. This residence is literally at the edge, in the south east coast of Victoria, Australia and serves as their cottage. Inspired by the way a limpet gets attached to a ship hull, Modscape designed a 5-storey residence, which is hanging from the cliff, creating in such way the illusion that it is connected to the ocean.
You can enter the residence through a pavilion on the upper floor, where you can find an elevator, that connects users to each floor underneath. Inside, minimal furniture accentuates the owners’ wish to merge natural and artificial environment.
