Traffic in Londin is a big problem because of the huge number of cars and the increased fumes.
In an attempt to stop this, while encouraging commuters to stay on their bikes, Transport for London has announced it’s testing a new traffic light system which will stay green longer for cyclists, preventing the blockages that happen at many of the city’s junctions.
The trial will be taking place at Cable Street, one of London’s “Cycle Superhighways” with two systems being implemented – one of which will be radar-based and the thermal imaging-based.
