Unusual bike seats created by Clem Chen

Two quite unusual bike seats have an intimidating yet impressive look.  “Bite it” and “Pink Eye” created by Canadian designer Clem Chen are those saddles. The imaginative artist used these recycled bicycle parts that he carved out order to create the necessary openings where he placed plastic-cast taxidermy molds depicting an animal’s barking mouth and an eye. The additional parts create an uncanny but mind-blowing result.

The two art pieces where originally made for the “Saddle-Up” show in Vancouver ‘s Hot Art Wet City gallery and  have also been listed among the finalists of the “ASIA AWARDS 2013” by designboom in collaboration with the DA – japan design association NPO.
