Since its establishment in 1996 Medicom Toy Corporation has been manufacturing and releasing a wide variety of character action figures based on “creating what we want, rather than product development based on market research”.
In 2000, Medicom launched its original 7 cm high teddy bear-shaped block type figure called “BE@RBRICK”, on the year marking the 100th anniversary of the internationally loved stuffed-toy, teddy bears. Medicom has collaborated with a diverse range of both domestic and international artists, labels and corporations. As a matter of fact, the outcome of its cooperation with WeSC were four different designs for the WeSC headphones, matching the prints of each BE@RBRICK, named Egg Beer, Crayfish, Travel and Swedish.
