George Lewis Jr., aka Twin Shadow, one of the best New Wave revivalists, is ready to release his sophomore album “Confess” on July 9 via 4AD. Twin Shadow quickly became famous already on 2010, while his critically acclaimed debut titled “Forget” entered the Top 50 Albums of 2010 of Pitchfork and he managed to take part in some of the best worldwide music festivals (such as Coachella, Primavera etc), but also being the support act in the tour of Florence + The Machine. Two years later, Lewis Jr. chooses a surprising way to promote his new album by participating in the Art Takes Times Square project which is taking place these days in Manhattan. This projects aims the artists to take over a slew of the most iconic video billboards in Times Square and create the largest exhibition of art in New York City. The official video, directed by Keith Musil, for the album’s lead single “Five seconds” was premiered at the Times Square yesterday, while Twin Shadow also gave a mini gig.
