The location was ideal; Hyatt Regency hotel by the pier and beach in Huntington Beach, South California (or Surf City as many call it). Even though it’s the beginning of January, it feels pretty warm. The story of Agenda Tradeshow is like that of David and Goliath; in the end the little guy makes it! That was the general mood and atmosphere reflected everywhere around; freshness and change, positivity in the mid of crisis and huge amount of visitors witnessed by the young organisers in their most successful show ever. Everyone, big or small, were present in this unique tradeshow for streetwear, sneakers και skate: Adidas Skateboarding και Originals, Nike SB and 6.0, Reebok and New Balance, Pro-Keds and PF-Flyers, DC, Supra, Osiris, Lakai, Obey, Freshjive and Kr3w with amazing collections, RVCA and Hurley both with impressive live art installations. Down in the basement, you could find the pure skate brands under the supervision of Berrics; Steve Berra και Eric Koston’s ‘secret’ skate park to which we paid a visit the following days. The main level was dedicated to the street/fashion brands – the ones showing the way to the future as well as attracting vast crowds. These brands were the likes of The Seventh Letter (with amazing live graffiti painting from Revok), Mishka, Rocksmith, Crooks and Castles, HUF, Undrcrwn, Diamond Supply Co, Nooka, Incase and the list goes on.
