Freja Beha Erichsen will launch her debut fashion line on September 16 – a capsule collection with denim label Mother. Strongly influenced by the tomboy model’s personal style, which is defined by a uniform of shirts and skinny jeans, it will be available in stores -including Selfridges and Harrods– and it will also includes cut-off shorts and shirts. Freja adds: “Denim should always be comfortable, jeans should protect you. They are workwear. I was really interested in the different fabrics, some are much heavier than others, but I wanted to stay true to what I would wear”. This project of hers is in aid of a worthy cause – with 10 per cent of each sale going towards Doctors Without Borders, a charity that provides medical care to nearly 70 countries impacted by war, malnutrition and natural disasters.
