Starting today, French designer Jean Charles de Castelbajac brings his unique avant-garde style into the windows of Selfridges in London, following the steps of Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood. A sci-fi installation, named “An Encounter of the Fifth Kind”, inspired by his friend and punk icon, Malcolm McLaren who recently passed away, will take over all five windows along Oxford street.
During his two-month stay, Jean Charles de Castelbajac will set his own pop-up store on the ground floor, which will house ready-to-wear collections from both his mainline and JC/DC range alongside homeware and limited edition pieces exclusive for the event.
