The Colisseum Scene from “Escape from L.A.”
Inspired by science-fiction film Escape from L.A. (1996) by John Carpenter, William Richard Green’s new menswear Autumn/Winter 2010 collection put us in a dark, post-apocalyptic mood.
The designer who was appraised for his Central St. Martin’s BA Menswear graduate collection for Autumn/Winter 2009, pays homage to Kurt Russell’s almost fetish black costumes and plays with the contrast of a darkly vigorous masculinity that hides a certain boyish frivolity.
