Images that blend artfully fashion with the unreal exude tense feelings and seem to be narrating parts of untold stories. Ukrainian artist Oleg Oprisco, creates fairytale-like pictures that usually manipulate reality and depict mysterious and atmospheric scenes of another parallel realm.
The imaginative photographer plans alone every detail of each scene from the props till the model’s makeup while he chooses to use a medium format film camera. About this he states: “I see film photography as a game in a casino you can win big or lose it all. I press the shutter release button and then I have to wait to find out the results when the film is processed”. Moreover, the only post-process he uses is some color correction since as he believes no amount of post-processing can turn a bad photo into a good one.
