-How and when did you start taking pictures?
I started taking pictures two years ago, when my dad brought a camera back from Iraq.
-You are quite young but your pictures have a sense of maturity and melancholy. Do you agree? What are you thinking about when you photograph?
I guess I do agree, and I have always been different from other kids my age, so I don’t really notice it as often. I don’t think when I take photographs, I just have the tight happy feeling in my stomach.
-What do you love taking pictures of?
People!!! I’ve only taken self portraits but I hope I can move onto models soon.
-You have a love for antiques and sometimes your pictures remind me of older times. How come?
My mother has always decorated with antiques, and I guess since it’s around me all the time, I’ve grown to love it and it’s easy just to go downstairs and not even set up anything for a photo, I just take it.
-Who are your favourite photographers?
Oh lord, I have so many, but some of favorites are Paolo Roversi, Marlene Marino, Frenchie-Jane, Lauren Poor, Ella Bailey, Mohammed Taheri, Olivia Bee, and so many others that I can’t remember!
-What camera do you use?
I use a nikon d40, or I use a disposable film camera sometimes.
-What will you be when you grow up?
I’m not sure, I don’t like to put labels on things but I’ d love to make films, and be a photographer, and really anything that deals with art.
