Orders that will be delivered in just 30 minutes with the help of helicopter-like small vehicles are the new vision of Amazon. This new delivery system that seems to be an idealistic science fiction scenario is called “Prime Air” and aspires to be put into commercial use in the following years.
The small flying vehicle will receive the desired package and will deliver it straight to the costumer’s front door. This would reduce delivery time to the minimum, which is estimated to half an hour. The specially designed vehicles can carry up to 2.5 kg. Of course, in order to turn this vision into reality Amazon needs certain licensing according to the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) rules and regulations.
