At first it was Jean Jullien and the “Je Suis Charlie”, which turned into a hashtag almost immediately and was all over twitter and instagram. The sad news of the attack to the French satiric magazine Charlie Hebdo, that has shocked everyone, was an effort of silencing its illustrators and the 12 dead people were the victims of a war, in the name of a religion. How contradictory!

As expected, illustrators all over the world, such as Steve Bell of The Guardian, have honoured their dead colleagues by taking part in the battle for the freedom of speech, which seems more insecure than ever before.
