The french capital can’t handle the intense weather and the museum is forced to close.
Artwork that is usually stored in the basement will be moved, since everyone is worried by Seine’s further raising. The museum will be closed only on Friday, June 3rd and it is expected to be open on Saturday and beyond. Things don’t seem to change much, when it comes to the weather, since the extreme conditions will continue during the weekend.
The Orsay museum was the first one to take action so as to protect its collection from Seine.
