A different kind of “herbarium” is created by Polish artist Elżbieta Wodała. The imaginative artist creates paintings by gluing together various dried leaves, flowers and small parts of plants that eventually form a very elegant and impressive result. The art works are named “Florotypes” and as Wodala says, are not very demanding technically. They offer her a unique feeling of relaxation, joy and relief of any stress.
The artist also states that through her work, she would like to give the plants a second life, stimulate the imagination, promote communication with nature as well as encourage people to become involved with art.
