Famous filmmaker David Lynch, created a photo series that depict the decay of old factories in the same dark and brooding style that characterizes his films.

More than 80 photographs which are currently exhibited at The Photographers Gallery in London, are shot in various areas of Germany, England, New York and Poland over 20 the years between 1980 and 2000. The maitre of surrealism captures desolate industrial facilities that seem both haunting and beautiful at the same time.

David Lynch states:”I just like going into strange worlds. A lot more happens when you open yourself up to the work and let yourself act and react to it. Every work ‘talks’ to you, and if you listen to it, it will take you places you never dreamed of”.

The exhibition is curated by Petra Giloy-Hirt while a fully illustrated book named “David Lynch: The Factory Photographs” is available @ the gallery’s bookshop.
