Chicks on Speed, a slightly mad kind of modern phenomenon – multinational art collective, band, brand, music label, and design team formed in 1997. Collaborations with an impressive roster of creatives including Karl Lagerfeld, Jean Charles de Castelbajac, Peaches and Jeremy Scott… performances at the MoMA, the Centre Pompidou and the Tate, they DJ/perform in venues all over the world. Recently, impressive things have been added to their jaw dropping resume : an exhibition at the Kate MacGarry Gallery in London, called HAPPENING and the launch of their second book ‘Don’t Art, Fashion, Music’ that documents the Chicks, their projects, performances, and especially the development of the Objekt-Instruments.
