Work In Progress By The Impossible Project Space NYC

A few years ago, Polaroid announced that it would stop the production of its instant film, and a group of Polaroid users started a global campaign for the format to return. Austrian artist, businessman and instant film lover Florian Kaps created the Polanoid.net, the biggest digital Polaroid gallery and the ‘The Impossible Project’. ‘In October 2008 The Impossible Project saved the last Polaroid production plant for integral instant film in Enschede (NL) and started to invent and produce totally new instant film materials for traditional Polaroid cameras.’

The Impossible Project space opened in 2008 in New York and since then keeps the Polaroid medium alive. On March 29th the Impossible Project Space will present an exhibition called WORK IN PROGRESS, and will showcase film works from a large range including Kisha Bari, Dave Bias, Anne Bowerman, Jon Campolo, Michelle Casper, Andrew Chugg, Kyle Depew, Josie Keefe, Frank Love, Abigail Smithson, Wendy Strauss, Patrick Tobin and George Weiss.
