American Psycho series is coming? Yay

In 2000 American Psycho came out. It is a film based on Bret Easton Ellis’ 1991 novel of the same name. The film (and the book), is about a self-absorbed man who is occupied with his work as an investment banker and the superficial aspect of his life. However, we see during the film that he takes on a different path since he starts killing people anywhere he set his foot on. The impressive with the film and especially the book is the gore explanation we get about how he feels each time he takes a life.

We were really stunned by the movie and some fans were even thinking about seeing this on the small screen as well. Therefore, after 8 years of rumors, it has been confirmed that an American Psycho TV adaptation is finally on the works.

Kevin Beggs, Lionsgate chairman, has announced the news in an interview saying that the show is in development. However, it is unknown if the at the time writer Stefan Jaworski will be participating in the project.

Also, what is still unknown is if the cast will remain the same. In the film, we saw Christian Bale as Patrick Bateman, our serial killer. The star-studded cast also includes Chloë Sevigny, Willem Dafoe, Jared Leto, Reese Witherspoon, Justin Theroux, Josh Lucas, and more.

However, a few questions arise. Will it be as breathtaking as the film? How many episodes will there be? Will the cast be as fitting as it was in the movie? We surely hold our breaths and wait for news on developments.
