Check out 2021 Oscars’ best dressed!

As with every year’s Oscars, we were expecting to see what all those stars would wear and we weren’t disappointed.

Following all the spring’s trends and after watching all SS21’s runways, we were ready to witness the most glamorous appearances this year. Even though we are still in the middle of a pandemic, the ceremony wasn’t digital and offered us the red carpet moments we needed. However, the necessary precautions were taken since all the stars were sitting far apart from each other.

Custom gowns, expensive jewelry, fancy shoes and bedazzled suits were all over the place and we couldn’t be more dazed. It is high time you admired all those outfits too, and we are here for you.

  1. Carey Mulligan

The best actress nominee for Promising Young Woman wore a custom two-piece gold look by Valentino. The ball gown skirt gave us princess vibes and we couldn’t keep our eyes off of it. We appreciated the sudden boldness, but the proportions are a little odd, since the bandeau top is a little too small for the huge skirt.

  1. Viola Davis

The best actress nominee for Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom wore a white gown by Alexander McQueen. The dress was full with cutouts which are trend for this year’s spring and summer. The beautiful cutout pattern in the bodice and the way the look plays with soft and hard elements makes us fall in love with it.

  1. Amanda Seyfried

The best supporting actress nominee for Mank wore a vivid red strapless ball gown of plisse tulle by Giorgio Armani, inspired by a look from the designer’s Spring/Summer 2021 collection. It’s a look that speaks of Old Hollywood glamour and classic screen siren sex appeal.

  1. Regina King

The One Night in Miami director wore a custom Louis Vuitton gown in duchesse satin, embellished with silver sequins and two tones of silver crystals. The light shade of blue gives us summery vibes but the crystals offer a sense of a queen.

  1. Zendaya

The presenter wore a yellow silk gown by Valentino especially designed for her by Valentino’s creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli. What is impressive about her appearance is that she paired the dress with more than 6 million dollars in Bulgari diamonds and plain beach hair. Since she wasn’t there to pick up an award herself she did great job on keeping all eyes on her with the airy flowy dress at which you can’t stop looking.

  1. Colman Domingo

Colman Domingo wore a custom Versace suit paired with Christian Louboutin shoes. What is impressive about his appearance is that his suit has more than 4500 precious Swarovski crystals and sequins creating a liquid effect. According to him, it took 150 hours to complete. Wow! Somehow, despite the glitz and the eye-searing color, it works spectacularly for him.

  1. H.E.R.

The 23 year old performer was dressed in a custom cobalt blue ensemble by Dundas. Dundas told that the singer’s jumpsuit was inspired by Prince’s 1985 Academy Awards look. Much like the iconic singer’s purple ensemble, H.E.R.’s jumpsuit featured a sparkling, draped hood and cutout details. Stylish, unforgettable, iconic, and a fantastic bit of self-promotion to boot.

  1. Lakeith Stanfield

Stanfield show us that male stars should stop dressing like lawyers and butlers but like the artists they are. Therefore he showed up and took us back to the disco era in this incredibly cool jumpsuit by Saint Laurent, which was made especially for him

  1. Riz Ahmed

Riz he made it possible to pull off an almost turtle neck with a tux by Prada. Him being so handsome made it work, offering up a more modern, slightly minimalist take on classic that suits him really, really well.
