Billboard shared the list with the 200 most successful studio albums ever. This list is based on how many times, each album has appeared on Billboard Hot 100 & 200, starting from the very first day of charts, meaning August 17,1973, until October 10, 2015.
On top of the list, there is Adele’s 21, followed by the OST of classical movie The Sound of Music. Michael Jackson’s Thriller holds the 3rd place, followed by artists such as Bruce Springsteen, TaylorSwift Def Leppard, Eric Clapton and other huge names of the industry. Of course, there are plenty of absences and surprises, but there are some top standrads such as Metallica, Guns ‘n’ Roses, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Nirvana, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Whitesnake.
