These guys came out of the blue; Frank Tope and Dan Foat, renowned more for their DJing than their productions, initially released the collective’s Macho Disco Master EP, shortly followed by an epic early 90s piano house remix to “Jump in the Pool” by the Friendly Fires. The rest is dance music history, with every self respecting DJ having already played their remix of Μetronomy’s “Do the Right Thing”. Their version is not a prime example of their previous productions but goes side by side with the way they approach their DJing: if a track is good rhythmically and interesting it will be played out, no matter the style.
