Having released his new album Syro, the first proper Aphex Twin album in 13 years, and the mysterious Aphex Twin blimp appeared in London, at the very beginning of the Syro campaign, Richard D. James gets on the spotlight once again. This time it is about his children inspiring his new tunes. He revealed that his new album was named after his 8-year-old son’s inspiration “He just looked at me one morning and said syrobonkus, I asked him what it meant he said he didnt know“. He also claims his 6-year-old son to be the composer and launcher of an entire album on Bandcamp, which has now been removed –“He was 5 when he did most of it n all! I never showed him a thing, he worked it all out himself, mind boggling, 5!”-. Whether truth or fiction, as is always the case with Aphex Twin, the four tracks, which are allegedly from his son, can be found on the official Aphex Twin soundcloud page .
