Olivia Bee’s “Sacred Heart” video for Hermès, has been released two days ago. The 20-year-old photographer is narrating stories by the sea, in tropical forests, in magical environments. Her nymphs-heroes are Tuesday Faust, Lillie Flagel and Kelcie Rosendahl, who are playing with the square scarfs (Carrés) of the brand, while Krista Michaela’s “Sacred Heart” is playing.
This is not the first collaboration of the young Portland-born photographer with the French house, since in 2012, she has shot the cover and an editorial for the spring issue, and she has directed a video during summer.
Olivia Bolles -her real name- is considered a prodigy, and it’s quite reasonable, given the fact that her first professional project was for Converse, at the age of 15. Since then, she has worked with many brands, such as Nike, Roger Vivier and The New York Times, Vogue Brazil, Elle France, and many more. Her friends are her models, and maybe that’s the reason why her images deliver some kind of intimacy and nostalgia to the viewers, whose attention is immediately gained.
For the time being, she is based in New York and when not working, she wants to act like a normal 20-year-old. Her schedule is always full and we are waiting for her upcoming projects.
