The young Spanish Xavi Reyes, is an emerging talent in the fashion industry. After completing his studies in Madrid, Xavier left to study a Masters in Fashion Design at Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design in London. His first collection was presented this year during the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Madrid; a collection with a strong futuristic elements amalgamated with street style.
This combination was evident through the designers use of minimalist and geometric styles throughout his collection. Pastel shades of grey, white and ecru were dominant, and the inspiration of this first collection, according to the young designer, came from the architecture of Madrid. This was translated through simplicity and shaping; creating a modern collection which stays true to stylish street and urban culture.
