It was undoubtedly one of the worst blizzards ever experienced in New York. And perhaps the only chance to snowboard in the city.
With the snow having reached 60 cm, the risk of the increase of the number of victims constantly intensified and the transport paralyzed, the mayor of New York, Bill de Blazio, has declared a state of emergency because of the catastrophic blizzard, Jonas. But since everything in life depends on whether you see the glass half empty or half full, someone decided to “tame” not the big mountains but .. the long empty streets of New York with a snowboard.
Casey Neistat, a video blogger, who has snowboarded on the Pyrenees, in Italy, in Aspen and on the mountains of Vermont, violated the curfew with the risk of being arrested. With the help of his brother who was driving and his buddy who was filming him, he “relived” New York as probably no one has ever lived it. Apart from a second skier and another snowboard expert who followed his path!
The video he uploaded on youtube has already exceeded 4.5 million views, while a second one shows the behind-the-scenes of the whole manoeuvre.
