What’s more common in a winter outfit than tights? Don’t you think it’s about time you replaced them with some of the most in-fashion alternative ways that fashion houses suggest?
#1. Brobdingnagian Jumpers
Oversized jumpers in heavy wools were the common suggestion in the most of the fashion shows. Sacai, Max Mara and Alexander Wang showed huge jumpers with ear-grazing rollnecks for the low winter temperatures. And if you conserve heat up top, there’s no reason to worry about your knees.
#2. Maxi Jumper-Dresses
Maxi dresses just like jumpers are the suggestion of Vetements fashion house for winter 2015. The head-to-toe warm cover makes the use of tights unnecessary. So, jumper dresses maxi to the ankle is the solution and suggestion. If you wear them with impressive jewelry, as per the Vetements catwalk, they’ll be even more elegant.
#3. Coats that “sweep” the floor
Bare legs appear perfectly beneath long-very long- coats. It’s the combination of the bare legs with the heavy shearling coats, as those suggested by Chloe, or with the brocade coats, like Dries Van Noten‘s. Whatever you choose don’t forget the length: ankle-skimming. They’re more stylish and way warmer.
#4. Put your socks on
What would you say if you’d wear a pair of socks instead of the usual tights? Prefer the over-knee ones, woolen, as we saw during the Zac Posen‘s show, or cashmere-made, for a more elegant result, socks are the best replacer of the tights.
#5. Thigh-High Boots
Thigh-high boots are, for sure, this season’s must have. We’ve seen them in Burberry‘s catwalk for Fall/Winter 2015 and we fell in love. Monochrome or with some prints, mainly in suede, they cover perfectly bare legs, protecting us from low tempratures! An extra bonu: they make our legs look longer.
