Admittedly talented Jane Perkins recreates great painting masterpieces or portraits of famous figures by using simple everyday tiny objects.
Based in the UK, the artist leverages the potentials of found objects and by using hundreds of pieces that differ in color, texture and material reconstructs famous art pieces in great detail. Beads, buttons, plastic toys and even clothespins are transformed into the colors that will form the new works. Perkins has an impressive ability to assemble these objects without impinging their original color and form creating works that can be appreciated as impressionistic painting at both detail and aggregate level.
