Today Thursday 14th January at 8-10 pm, the Breeder gallery will hold photographer Ryan McGinley’s first solo exhibition in Greece. The show features the artist’s new work that represents his artistic practice: «Moonmilk», road trips and black and white portraits. McGinley’s portraits can be described as affectionate and sexy, while his overall work expresses hopefulness, a thirst for adventure and discovery, total freedom and open spaces. His obsession with the journey and the people with whom he shares it, makes him a direct descendant of writers such as, Mark Twain, Jules Vern and Jack Kerouac and of photographers like Robert Frank, Nan Goldin and Wolfgang Tillmans.
