Who would expect that? David Bowie will write music for a Spongebob Squarepants musical. And he is not the only one. The long list of the artists contributing music to the upcoming Broadway show, consists of Dirty Projectors, Flaming Lips, Cyndi Lauper, Aerosmith members Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, TI and They Might Be Giants, according to Entertainment Weekly. David Bowie may seem a strange choice, but back in 2007, he has voiced a character for the TV show.
The show is set to premiere in Chicago from June 7 to July 13, 2016, before heading to Broadway for the next season.
