A tribute to the 77-year-old actor, writer and director will be included in the 71st annual Golden Globes’ ceremony on 12 January, 2014. The organisers of the awards say they are honouring Woody Allen with the 2014 Cecil B. DeMille Award for his exceptional contribution to filmmaking with incomparable films such as Annie Hall, Hannah and Her Sisters and Midnight in Paris. Previous recipients of the award include Walt Disney, Bing Crosby, Fred Astaire, Judy Garland, John Wayne, Gregory Peck, Frank Sinatra, Bette Davis, Al Pacino, Barbara Streisand, Martin Scorsese and many more.
