‘Swiss’ is the latest emergence from Australia in dance/indie/disco crossover. Their ‘Βubblebath’ single has been listened and danced to, like no other in 2010, supported by almost every 4/4 rhythm dj, with the exception perhaps of hard techno. What is interesting is that ‘Swiss’ is not a couple of guys behind laptops and consoles but a four-piece band playing their disco music live and doing it good. Having already created a name for themselves in their continent, Swiss are coming to take on Europe at summer time while their new releases are under way. Their appearance at Modular Records’ roster -same record company for the best out of Australia in the last five years (Cut Copy, Ladyhawke, Tame Impala, Canyons etc)- hints that the best is yet to come.
