Having released dozens of hits during her music career, the iconic Eurythmics’ singer Annie Lennox, hits back with her new album, Nostalgia. It’s a music investigation on classic songs from the 30’s and the 40’s, like experimenting on her voice. Lennox says:
“I was wondering how my voice would sound, would those songs fit my tunes? It was kind of a challenge. In a way, i felt like i started to know them better, feeling familiar and becomming friends with the songs. I had lots of fun during the whole prosses.”
Singing with passion, inspired by vintage recordings, her unique voice turns every familiar sound into an unexpected journey. Her seventh solo album introduces a new perspective over iconic songs of the past. No matter what, Annie Lennox has such a personality that her music could never sound “common” – she’s an activist, Goodwill Ambassador for UNAIDS and many many more.
The album was released on October 27th, 2014, by Island Records.
