‘In loving memories’, is the name of Alec Ali Abdulrahim’s FW14/15 collection, for his label Mai Gidah and is some kind of remembrance of the loved ones he has lost. Sculpted designs and voluminous silhouettes with elaborate inspired by an exhibition of Sudanese artist Ibrahim El-Salahi at the Tate. Leather is mixed with luxurious fabrics creating unique jumpers, tunics, flower corsages, african inspired prints and high waisted pants.
