Remember Guillaume Henry, the French 35-year-old designer who was the creative director of Carven since 2009? It looks like it serves Carven until the upcoming November. His name is announced as the new creative director for Nina Ricci, as soon as the previous one, Peter Copping is rumored to announce his appointment with Oscar De La Renta any day now.
Does the philosophy of Henry can be combined with Nina Ricci’s, as he is a firm believer in making clothing for women to actually wear in their everyday lives, not just to admire on a catwalk? So far, Nina Ricci’s owner Ralph Toldeano told WWD that Guillaume’s artistic vision, intuition, intelligence, charisma and curiosity would bring to life great ambitions for the brand.
