Every changing season an elderly couple had their posed in front of Ken Griffiths’s camera with natural background their house yard. The photo series derived from this action represent the time passing and its inevitable results in a very unique way. Subject of these photographs are not only the change and transformation of the landscape, which dries and then re-blooms neither the change of the weather and faces. Actually, this is the fact that differs them from other relevant collections that capture same faces in different time points under the theme of “Now and Then”.
Through Griffiths’s photos a feeling of love and companionship that overtime is dramatically replaced by the feeling of loss and loneliness is conveyed. The last photo is the one emotionally charged that transfers the whole message.
