Brendt Barbur wanted to turn his negative experience -being hit by a bus while riding his bicycle in New York- into something positive, so in 2001 he started the Bicycle Film Festivalas a platform to celebrate the bicycle through music, art and film.
The Bicycle Film Festival has come to be a major catalyst for the urban bike movement, which becomes more and more powerful in urban metropolises all around the world nowadays. It will celebrate its tenth anniversary starting on June 16th, in five days off screenings and other events.
