Over the past six years an eccentric Chinese businessman and doctor named Zhang Biqing has been building a sprawling two-storey villa on top of another 26-storey block of apartments in Beijing. The 8,600 square-foot home has been constructed entirely without permission and features lots of trees, rocks and shrubbery. Neighbors say they have been complaining to the authorities for years due to the cracks, leaks, and other problems the structure has been causing but none of their complaints were taken seriously however. When press spoke to Zhang, he said “Since I dare to live here, I am not worried about complaints. Famous people come to my place and sing. How can you stop them?”. Alright.
