Besides it’s not the first time, Lady Gaga expressed her support to the LGBT community or to our right to be ourselves, while she has participated in multiple pride celebrations.
This time however, things were not celebratory at all. “We mourn the tragic loss of the innocent, beautiful people. They are sons and daughters. They were fathers and mothers. They are all our brothers and sisters.”, while she read every single name of the Pulse attack. “You are not alone” she added.
Being fully aware of the fact that her speech may be distracting, she asked to “not allow my anger and outrage over this attack to overshadow our need to honor those who are grieving truly for their lost ones.”
