For those who are not aware of it, ΜcQ is the economic line of clothes and accessories, launched by Alexander McQueen, and it is witnessing a massive success over the last years, especially in the East. Its clothes –not as extravagant and couture-ish as those of the brand- are known for their refined materials and their grand aesthetic. The collection for Spring/Summer 2014, designed by McQueen’s protégé, Sarah Burton is a fine example of geometry and harmony. Pants made of fine brocades in dark and metallic tones are topped with plain jackets and monochromatic T-shirts. Even though it constitutes a rather minimal collection –due to its clean cuts and its lack of layers- there is a glam twist.
