Kronprinzenpalais is an emblematic building of central Berlin and the garden behind it will be the main scenery of the show. I easily find my seat at Vladimir’s show and I immediately realize that it’s one of the few occasions that I feel relaxed and almost blessed waiting for the first model to walk this line. As if a miracle occurred there are no raindrops to worry us but some wonderful rays of sun instead that set up an ideal warm feel for what Vladimir had prepared for us. One by one models pass by composing an extraordinary puzzle full of colors and shapes. The first era of Vladimir is still there, however a new style is born which confirms the great talent of this designer and his evolution. Menswear is bold and almost exotic, womenswear is modern and uniquely aerial. This is the new “Karaleev” indeed and I instantly had a flashback of his show in Athens back in 2012, during our magazine’s avant-guard fashion event titled 4FASHIONSHAKE.
The show is over and it feels like this spring summer 2015 collection is forward thinking, fresh and sporty. Applause and off to the garden benches, it seems like a perfect time for a gin ‘n tonic. Watching the guests around me I had this instant thought; In an ideal world we would all be dressed by Vladimir Karaleev.
