The truth is that fake freckles made their first appearance on the catwalks of ’14 and ’15, when makeup artist Val Garland – inspired by Masai warriors, created this natural, minimalist look. She used pencils in earthy tones, but you can make them with a coloured liquid lipstick or eyeliner and a very fine brush.
