The trailer for Jim Jarmusch’s new feature film, Paterson, has finally been released. The highly anticipated follow up to 2013’s Only Lovers Left Alive has been gaining word-of-mouth momentum after being selected to compete for the Palme d’Or at Cannes Film Festival.
The film follows Paterson, a bus driver played by Adam Driver, who writes poetry in his spare time, collecting ideas from the quotidian existences of the people he drives around Paterson, New Jersey. The film also stars Golshifteh Farahani as Paterson’s wife. Jim Jarmusch directs the film, for which he also wrote the screenplay. The poems are by real-life poet Ron Padgett.
The film will be screened at BFI’s London Film Festival which kicks off this week, the first chance of seeing the film before its general release next year.
