A decaying townhouse of Paris was chosen by Haider Ackermann for the presentation of his latest collection. The models -in symphony with the setting- looked as if they had just woken up, after an all-night party. They could have been its owners.

The leather trousers, the silk robes with op art motifs and flower prints, the scarves; all in slightly oversized proportions resembled to the human tghe Colombian designer is dreaming of. He is not designing only for men, or women, but for a type of human he imagines. Besides having two female models, among the rest, is not coincidental. This type of person is a symbol of “the feeling we are missing”, the feeling of freedom, the way an artist lives it and how the latter discover beauty, even in fading, lost images.

Having as an inspiration in the past poets, bohemian characters, free spirits, everyone expected to watch his new idol and how this would be developped. Even though Bob Dylan’s “Blowin’ in the Wind” was the show soundtrack, “The freedom of people, like Keith Richards, Iggy Pop and Robert Mapplethorpe had, gave me energy. They tookk risks we’re not capable of taking”. And this last sentence sums everything up.
